Is circumcision surgery? Yes or no? Feel free to add any explanation.

If hair transplants — where the “incisions” are eseentially de minimis scalpel pricks — are considered “surgery” (and they are), then how can the far more incisive procedure of circumcision not also be considered “surgery”?
Wow. Interesting.
Where’d you get the idea for such a post?
😉
It’s surgery.
Thanks for the feedback, confirming what I believe.
That’s definitely related. Thanks. As an explanation, I was involved in a debate on circumcision in which someone said I was wrong to call ritual circumcision surgery. It doesn’t take place in a hospital, or involve a surgeon, and so on. That’s patently ridiculous, so i just wanted to make sure I’m not on a logical island.

Surgery? How about mutilation?
